Committed to revitalise our enviroment

The Szabad Madár regenertive farm was created, because we belive, that it is possible to produce while benefiting our environment.

Leasing a layer hen

Become a part of nature's cycle with community supported agriculture.

Leasing a hen means 5-7 eggs per hen per week which we will deliver your to your prefered pick up point.

And what will be the name of your hen?

If you join for a year, you can name your hen and you will recieve a framed picture of her.

Passion for a liveable Earth

Current social, economic and ecological trends have become unsustainable for us and hopeless for future generations. Part of our answer to this is holistic management and regenerative agriculture. We believe that these trends can be changed and we can create a livable environment. Some of our tools:

Holistic Management

A decision-making system that helps us achieve our goals without unintended consequences.

Regenerative agriculture

An agricultural trend that focuses on the health of the soil and thereby restores natural processes and regenerates the ecosystem.

Ecological Outcome Verification

This is a monitoring and certification system developed by the Savory Institute, which examines the ecological health of the farm and provides feedback on the results of our activities based on the outcomes.

Connecting, sharing knowledge

We nurture a community where farmers, buyers, and nature lovers can share our knowledge and values with each other.

Innovation

We want to give life-giving answers to challenges and we are not afraid to create something new.

Continous learning

It is an adventurous journey full of discoveries, where we are always learning and developing ourselves.

I am Miklós Tompa, the creator of the Szabad madár regenerative farm. One of the main inspirations for my commitment to regenerative farming was when I first saw hens as part of a complex grazing system. For me, it is very inspiring to know that it is possible to produce in such a way that we not only do not destroy our environment but we are building it.

Keeping laying hens on pasture is an excellent means of regenerating the soil. The highly nutritious eggs produced are, then given to our CSA members (community supported agriculture).
